DORRELL, Gloria Margret (nee Purdy) October 27, 1937 July 27, 2010. Nana passed away peacefully on July 27th at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert from kidney failure following a six year battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Lestock, Saskatchewan the eldest child of Ted and Carrie Purdy. She lived in many small towns in Saskatchewan and attended high school in Saskatoon where she eventually met Clarence Dorrell. Gloria worked in a number of pharmacies both in Saskatoon and Regina. She and Clarence settled in Regina where she helped dad run Dorrell Electric for 33 years. They had two daughters Cheryl Turner and Sandra Norman and four grandchildren; Sam Turner, Andy Turner, Harris Norman and Leah Norman. Gloria and Clarence celebrated 51 years of marriage this past April. In recent years Gloria and Clarence had spent their time taking care of grandchildren in Prince Albert and enjoying summers with friends and family at Wee Too Beach. Gloria will be remembered as a great mother, a wonderful grandmother and a gracious hostess with an awesome sense of humor. Gloria is predeceased by her parents, her sisters Lorraine (in infancy), Carma (in childhood) and her brother Merrill Butch Purdy. She is survived by her husband, daughters and grandchildren as well as her sisters Darlene Beaumont, Lynn Dehmke, and Carol Crockett. Gloria was much loved and will be missed. Flowers are gratefully declined. As per Gloria's request she will be cremated with no funeral service. A private celebration of Gloria's life will be hosted by family at a later date. 1501881
