Sheltinga, Douglas Peacefully, in his 87th years, with his family by his side in Edmonton, Alberta died on Saturday March 6, 2010 Beloved husband of Rita (predeceased) of 51 years. Loving father of Joan (Randy) and Janis Colette Sheltinga. Grandfather of Ian and Jason Civitella. Beloved brother of Audrey (Conrad) Bechard and Cecilia (John) Lowery. Sister-in-law of Jeannette Maxted. Douglas will be remembered by his niece Simonne (Bechard) Beck (Jeff), nephews Kenneth (Joyce) Bechard and Blair (Cindy) Bechard and Mark (Cynthia) Maxted, and many friends and former patients. Douglas practiced medicine in Regina at the Grey Nuns Hospital (Cancer Clinic) and in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario at the Group Health Centre and Sault area hospitals. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Sedley, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm.
