Brown, Marjorie Published: 2010-02-06 MARJORIE BROWN Marjorie Ann Brown passed away accidentally on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age of 64 years. Marjorie was born in Gravelbourg, SK on February 22, 1954. She was the fourth child of Leona and James Costley. Marj received all her schooling at Bateman School. She had a passion for figure skating and hanging out with her friends. Marj married Marvin Brown on June 13th, 1964. They lived in Regina for two years and then moved to Hodgeville. They were blessed with four children: Lorie, Tracey, Tammy and Wade. Throughout her life Marj enjoyed many hobbies and activities. Some of these were curling, scrapbooking, playing cards, clothing club and doing yard work. She loved helping others by baking or cleaning for them, and not surprisingly, taking them shopping! Marj was the farm. She managed to keep an immaculate house and yard, while being Marvin's right hand man, Wade's hired man, entertaining friends and family, babysitting her grandchildren, canning and baking. Marj enjoyed company. The more the merrier or as she always said what's one more plate on the table. She always looked forward to her weekly Sunday card games with her brothers. Marj treated her friends like family and valued every moment she shared with them. Marj's grandchildren were the absolute joys of her life, the apples of her eye! She taught each one of them how to skip rope and to stay in the lines while coloring. To her children, she wasn't just a mother; she was a confidante and a friend. She was always there to give support, to offer advice or just to listen. Marj was always optimistic about life and truly enjoyed it to its fullest. There wasn't too much she didn't like ...except ham! Marj was Marvin's everything. She meant the world to him and will be missed immensely by her family and all who knew her. Marj is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Marvin Brown of Hodgeville and their children: Lorie (Kelly) Hornung Jill (Colin) Brisebois, Kelsey and Taylor; Tracey (Mervin) Turnbull Demi, Braxton and Lexi; Tammy (Jarrod) Klassen Darby; and Wade (Andrea) Brown Mya and Amy; sister June (Frank) Benaschak; brothers: Bill (Ellen) Costley, Larry (Sandra) Costley and Dwayne (Debbie) James; brother-in-law Brian (Eleanor) Brown; sisters-in-law: Valerie Otto, Grace (Wayne) Gies and numerous nieces and nephews.
