GEMBEY_Walter. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Walter Gembey on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his father Prokop Gembey, mother Pauline and sister Mary Bowman. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Gembey of 57 years, his son Darcy Gembey (Deborah) and daughter Loretta Schaefer (Bart). He is also survived by grandchildren Amanda Gembey (Mark), Joshua Gembey (Marilyn), Crystal Gembey (Kevin), Lee Schaefer (Alysha), Tiffany; great-daughter Mercedes; sister Anne Robertshaw (Harry) as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Walter worked for the Saskatchewan Government for 37 years. He enjoyed working for Kiwanis at the Girl Guide Camp. He enjoyed fishing, boating, water-skiing, ski-dooing, gardening and socializing at Glen Harbour. Walter will fondly be remembered for his helping hand. We love you deeply and will miss you greatly. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
