MOWAT, ROBERT JAMES BOB_ passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 18, 2006 with family at his side. Bob leaves behind sons Trevor (Cynthia), Brad (Chris), daughter Jan (Brian) Simmons, granddaughters Gillian (Cory), Mylitta (Preston), Janel (Kelly) and Audra, brother Douglas (Babe), sisters Margaret (Ray) Lapp and Marjorie (Bill) Wiggins, numerous nieces and nephews and canine companion Ticia. Bob spent the bulk of his working life operating Red Star Texaco Service on the corner of Albert Street and 15th Avenue in Regina. Bob was an active member of the Kiwanis service club as well as the Regina Flying Club. His real passions were flying light aircraft, road adventures in his VW Westfalia with Ticia riding shotgun and conversations and spirited debates with his many friends. A private service for family will take place at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2006. A casual come and go gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Regina Flying Club between 1:00 and 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2006. No flowers please. If you wish, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
